If you have further questions about our services or how freight forwarding works, kindly see the section below to find the answers to frequently asked questions.
What is freight forwarding?
Freight forwarding is the coordination and facilitation of the transportation of goods from one place to another. A Freight forwarding company, such as Denholm Good Logistics, act as intermediaries between organisations and individuals, helping streamline the process of getting goods from Point A to Point B to make international shipping hassle-free.
Where does Denholm Good Logistics ship to?
Denholm Good Logistics is an experienced freight forwarder in the UK offering international shipping and transport services. Regardless of the location, our team will ensure that your goods are delivered safely, quickly, and efficiently.
Do you offer port-centric logistics?
We have warehouses at shipping and container ports in Hull, Felixstowe, Ipswich and Liverpool, and a facility at Heathrow Airport dedicated to air freight logistics. Our warehouse facilities collaborate with our freight forwarding department to provide a complete port-centric solution to our clients. Furthermore, our Felixstowe warehouse sets us apart from other freight trucking companies. It is ideally situated for the swift transfer of goods from the quayside to the rack, helping importers save money by avoiding expensive quay rent and demurrage charges.
Can you offer customs clearance?
Yes, we can. As part of our freight forwarding solutions, we can handle customs clearance to ensure the completion of export and import customs formalities (NES customs entry, Intrastat, CFSP Messaging) at all main UK ports. Our experienced UK freight forwarders and in-house experienced customs clearance work together to ensure your consignment flows through the simplified customs clearance process as quickly as possible.
Do I need to pay duty and tax when importing goods from outside the UK?
You must pay import duties and taxes to UK Customs when you buy goods from outside the UK. This is standard procedure regardless of your preferred freight forwarding companies. Once paid, your shipment will be released and sent to their destination. Note that the amount of UK duty you must pay will depend on the goods’ declared value and the type of product you are importing.
Can I track my shipments?
Yes. As a freight forwarder committed to delivering excellent customer service, we make sure our clients have 24/7 access to their shipments and other critical info through our real-time digital tracking platform.
