Lankelma Ltd. provides cone penetration testing (CPT), site investigation and engineering consultancy for construction projects in the UK and around the world. With their knowledge of CPT, Lankelma provide their clients with high value interpretation and engineering input for their projects, both on land and in the marine environment.
Our Dublin based Project Forwarding division have recently supported Lankelma Ltd. Their latest project that they assisted with, was the movement of the ‘Sandpiper’ jack up platform which was being transported via 14 full truck loads from its collection in Iden, East Sussex, to its destination, Dun Laoghaire Harbour, Dublin.
The responsibility of handling this movement was entrusted to DGL and our expert team, who dealt with the customs challenges on temporary importation of the entire rig. Our teams also arranged the sequencing of arrival at the Port, with a meticulously organised construction plan, ensuring that everything ran smoothly.
Local services were used for bunkering, lifting equipment, waste removal and welding/fabricating services – all of which were arranged by our specialist teams. Throughout the duration of this project, DGL also facilitated an out of hours service for Lankelma, enabling them to contact our team with any issues or queries at any time.
