As well as for the benefit of society and the planet, Essity aims to break through and overcome barriers that stand in the way of improving people’s well-being and enabling a healthier and more sustainable society.
This purpose portrays the story of Essity, as a company, its employees, its products and solutions, its actions, and its initiatives, and the sustainable value they create for people, businesses, and the planet, for today and for the future.
The main challenge facing Essity UK, before they began working with Denholm Good Logistics, was their customs process, particularly in the run-up to Brexit. Essity is a major importer into the UK and it was critical for the business to have an efficient and effective customs process in place for when Brexit hit.
Partnering with Denholm Good Logistics enabled Essity UK to work collaboratively with the Denholm Good Logistics team, in preparation for Brexit. Essity and the Denholm Good Logistics team worked as one to ensure everything was in place for day 1, so Essity’s supply chain continued to flow and was not disrupted.
The Denholm Good Logistics team, which included customs brokerage & consultancy, compliance, and the EU freight team, plus their key account manager became an extended part of the Essity team. They took their time to ensure they understood Essity’s supply chain process and how Brexit and new legislation would impact their business. They then implemented new processes, controls, and compliance to support the business through these unique circumstances.
