Role
- Working within the transport team based at Felixstowe office
- Dealing with Customers and suppliers
- Ensuring accurate information is updated to operating systems
- Working with colleagues to provide a high service level to our customers
The Day-to-Day
The transport team acts as a centre of excellence for all group container haulage services, and working with your colleagues from the Felixstowe transport team you will deal with other group offices and third-party accounts.
Build and maintain good relationships with third party customers, group staff and sub-contractors.
Report to Line Manager and Head of Centre of Excellence weekly:-
- Customer statistics
- Supplier statistics
- On time statistics
- Margin statistic
- Running Vehicles
- Ensure prompt return of empty containers
- Vehicle booking system
- Completing key reports
AEO
All duties to be undertaken with reference to Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) procedures and work instructions.
The Person
- Good understanding of Haulage Operations
- Good geographical knowledge of UK and main road networks
- Good levels of communication with customers.
The Need-to-Knows
- Reporting to: Head of Transport
- Location: Felixstowe
- Working hours: full time 37.5 hours p/w
