Internal Sales Wholesale

Role

Opportunity to join the Internal Sales Team within the wholesale side of the business.

Targeting direct forwarder and overseas agent business you will have a portfolio of accounts to manage and arrange pricing on before passing over to the operational teams to execute the job in line with your quotation.

Working with the Internal Sales team in Liverpool, procurement and marketing department, this is seen as a key area for growth within Denholm Good Logistics.

KPI’s will be measured around contacts made and records saved into our CRM along with quote numbers converted to jobs and the associated Gross Profit made. This is a fast paced environment with a proactive approach needed to maximise the opportunities available.

Internal Sales Retail

The Day-to-Day

The main responsibilities include:

  • Receiving sales enquiries from new & existing wholesale clients in the UK via, phone, email & web enquiries.
  • Receive sales enquires and rate requests from overseas partners and agents.
  • Accurate data entry into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System.
  • Quote generation within CW1
  • Ownership and analysis of booking patterns, with proactive outreach where needed.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell additional trade lanes and services.
  • Maximise margin opportunity

The Person

Essential skills needed for this role include:

  • Good communication skills
  • Must be enthusiastic, upbeat, pro-active and possess a can-do attitude.
  • Work independently and within a team
  • Ideally experience within Freight Forwarding and logistics
  • Previous commercial experience is not essential if experience within Freight Forwarding
  • Good time management
  • Attention to detail and organisation
