Role
This is a group role. New Business Development. Driving Business Growth within the business. Research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue in line with KPIs.

The Day-to-Day
The main responsibilities include:
- Develop new accounts with focus on Far East, Middle East & African trade lanes.
- Look for additional opportunity for UK Warehousing & UK Domestic.
- Liaise with Line Managers on a weekly basis to identify areas of high priority and to exchange account information and sales leads.
- Regular Face to Face visits with customers and prospects.
- Working within the CRM system to manage pipeline effectively.
- Liaise with Line Manager monthly regarding new accounts to be targeted and new accounts secured.
AEO
All duties to be undertaken with reference to Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) procedures and work instructions.
The Person
Essential skills needed for this role include:
- Previous Sales experience ideally within external Business Development and with freight forwarding or liner back ground.
- Offer efficient and effective service to all customers.
- Any other reasonable duties required commensurate with the level of this position.
- Able to work as part of a team but more so independently and proactively.
- Ability to develop and build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Good understanding of Power Point and Microsoft word and excel.
- Solid presentation skills.
- Time management and Strategic planning.
- Reporting and analytical skills.
- Growth mindset
The Need-to-Knows
- Reporting into Director of Sales / Director of Wholesale
- Location: Any DGL Office
- Working hours: full time 37.5 hours per week
