At Denholm Good Logistics, our Türkiye-to-UK Consolidated Container service offers a reliable and cost-effective solution for businesses looking to move goods between Türkiye and the UK. This service has been operating for over 20 years, providing weekly sailings from Istanbul to Felixstowe, UK, and offering a seamless shipping experience from port to final destination. The service is ideal for businesses that don’t require a full container but still want the security and efficiency of sea freight.

Our Türkiye-to-UK Consolidated Container Service

Our weekly LCL (Less-than-Container Load) service from Istanbul to Felixstowe provides businesses with a flexible, affordable, and eco-friendly shipping option. The service is coordinated through our offices in Izmir, Türkiye, and Hull, UK, offering end-to-end control of your cargo. With advanced tracking solutions, you can monitor your cargo in real-time, upload and manage documentation digitally, and enjoy the security of shipping goods in a sealed container. This service is designed to help businesses optimise their logistics, reduce unnecessary costs, and ensure on-time delivery every time.

By choosing Denholm Good Logistics, your business can benefit from reduced emissions, cost savings, and a commitment to sustainability—all while enjoying the reliability and transparency of sea freight. Plus, our efficient, streamlined service helps minimise delays and reduces your carbon footprint compared to road or air freight alternatives, making it the smart choice for environmentally conscious companies.

Sea Freight: A Greener and More Securer Alternative to Road Freight

One of the standout benefits of our Consolidated Container service is its significantly lower environmental impact compared to road freight. Shipping goods by sea instead of road reduces CO2 emissions by up to 90%, helping your business contribute to global sustainability efforts.

To put this into perspective, sea freight emits only about 0.015 kg of CO2 per tonne-kilometre, while road freight emits approximately 0.1 kg of CO2 per tonne-kilometre. This means that for every 100 tonnes of cargo transported over 1,000 kilometres, road transport would release 100,000 kg of CO2, whereas the same cargo shipped by sea would only emit about 1,500 kg of CO2. Choosing sea freight for your logistics needs not only helps reduce your company’s carbon footprint but also supports global efforts to combat climate change.

In addition to the environmental benefits, our Consolidated Container service offers cost-effective rates, especially for businesses with smaller or less time-sensitive cargo. Clients pay only for the volume they use, and sea freight is generally more affordable than both road and air freight, particularly for heavier and denser cargo.

In terms of physical security, our Depot-to-Depot Container Service provides a significantly higher level of protection against theft and tampering. From the moment goods are loaded at the point of origin, they remain sealed in the same container for the entire duration of their journey through international transit, customs clearance, and right up to our UK warehouse. Only at this secure facility are containers unloaded and prepared for final delivery to the client.

This uninterrupted chain of custody offers peace of mind and greatly reduces opportunities for interference, loss, or damage. By comparison, road trailers are often more exposed, particularly during long-haul movements across multiple countries between Türkiye and the UK, and are especially vulnerable when parked overnight or during stopovers along the route.

Supporting Sustainability with Our Climate Project

At Denholm Good Logistics, we’re not just focused on providing efficient shipping solutions. We’re committed to taking action against climate change, which is why we proudly support a certified climate project that combines environmental conservation with real-world benefits.

The climate project we support consists of two key initiatives: ocean conservation and a cookstove project in India aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Both projects contribute significantly to global sustainability efforts.

Oceans play a crucial role in the fight against climate change, absorbing about a quarter of global CO2 emissions and more than 93% of the heat generated by global warming. By supporting ocean conservation initiatives, we help protect marine ecosystems, which are essential in regulating the Earth’s climate. The project also works to prevent plastic waste from entering the oceans, collecting 10 kg of plastic for every tonne of CO2 reduced.

In parallel with ocean conservation, our project supports a cookstove initiative in India. By providing more efficient cookstoves to local communities, this initiative reduces the need for firewood, which helps combat deforestation and lower carbon emissions. The adoption of these clean cookstoves leads to less wood consumption and a significant reduction in deforestation, further contributing to the fight against climate change.

Through this initiative, we aim to reduce 123,000 kg of CO2 by 2025, which is roughly equivalent to the emissions generated by our Türkiye-to-UK Sea Freight Consolidated Container service for the same period. For each tonne of CO2 saved, we also collect 10 kg of plastic waste from coastal areas, helping reduce plastic pollution and protect marine life. This project supports UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

Empowering Our Clients to Contribute to Sustainability

In partnership with ClimatePartner, we make it easy for our clients to support climate action. By connecting businesses with verified, certified climate initiatives, we enable them to take part in reducing emissions and supporting projects that have a direct environmental impact.

The projects we back meet rigorous international standards, ensuring that every tonne of CO2 saved is scientifically verified and contributes to real, measurable environmental benefits.
