As UK liner agent for MACS Maritime Carrier Shipping GmbH, John Good Logistics is pleased to announce a new service option from Europe to the west coast of South America and Jamaica, as well as an expansion of its services into Mozambique.
The new service to South America and Jamaica offers customers the opportunity to ship conventional cargo – with a unit weight of up to 120 tons – direct from Immingham to the transhipment port of Houston on the multi-purpose-tonnage of the MACS transatlantic service.
MACS’ partner, Seaboard Marine, will perform the second leg from Houston to the west coast of South America and Jamaica as part of their fortnightly liner service.
In Europe, cargo can be accepted directly at Immingham, Brake, Antwerp and Bilbao for shipment to the ports of Kingston, Guayaquil, Callao, Arica, Angamos and Valparaiso.
In addition to the new routes of South America and Jamaica, John Good Logistics is also able to offer a new route into Mozambique. The current established connection of the vessel MV BLACK RHINO from Durban to Maputo (including ad hoc calls at other ports in Mozambique) will now be calling at Beira on a regular basis and will be accepting containerised cargo, project cargo and vehicles.
Seamus Jennings, Managing Director, said: “Our long-standing relationship with MACS has, over the years, enabled us to offer a varied range of services to Southern Africa and North America.
By opening up new routes, we are able to offer our customers new destinations, creating greater flexibility in terms of ports of discharge, which can assist in reducing overall freight costs by bringing the cargo closer to its final destination.”
