Shipping and logistics specialist, John Good Logistics, has launched a new air freight division. John Good Air complements the wide range of services currently provided, allowing the company to offer a complete logistics package by sea, road and air.
The company already provides shipping services that include freight forwarding, liner and port agency, haulage, warehousing and customs clearance. The new division will cement the company as a complete logistics provider delivering added benefits to its customers.
Seamus Jennings, Managing Director, said: “We have been looking to establish ourselves in the air freight industry for a while now. Air freight is not new to us, however we felt that in order to meet our customers’ requirements and provide competitive rates, a separate division needed to be established.
“We are extremely fortunate that we have been able to team up with Ed Clarke, a highly experienced and respected figure in the air freight industry, and after a long time spent considering the various options, we can now look forward to stamping our mark on the air freight industry.”
John Good Air will be based in Manchester and will be spearheaded by Ed Clarke, Air Freight Manager. Ed and his team very much look forward to developing the company’s airfreight activities and its range of import and export services to and from all main UK airports including Manchester and London Heathrow.
The John Good Group was established in 1833 and has offices at 16 locations across the UK as well as overseas offices in Turkey and China. The Group’s core activities are Shipping & Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution and Corporate Travel services.
