Good Logistics are incredibly pleased to announce that one of their employees is a Finalist for ‘The Apprentice of the Year Award 2021’, provided by BIFA. The award allows BIFA members to nominate apprentices, to highlight all the outstanding work they have done for their company.
This was Good Logistics’ first attempt at the award, and we are delighted that Matt Vick – Team Leader for Good Logistics – is a Finalist. Only 5 individuals were selected for final round, so this is a huge achievement.
Matt Vick joined Good Logistics back in 2018, after deciding University life was not for him, and has since achieved so much both for himself and for the company. He gained a fantastic 92% Distinction in his apprenticeship and was made Team Leader of the EU Customs Team last year. Matt has recently been appointed to Team Leader of our Deep Sea operations, at our Plymouth Office. Despite being in the Logistics Industry for only three years, Matt’s knowledge, passion and kind persona has led to his many successes, including becoming a Finalist for BIFA.
The final round consisted of a challenging interview and presentation, which took place in November 2021. Before the final, Matt Vick commented on his achievement stating, “I’m delighted to make it through as one of only five remaining candidates to the finals for the Apprentice of the Year nominations. There is a further interview to take place before a winner is selected, but the recognition received from the short listing alone is something I and the team can be proud of. Fingers crossed for these next steps, as I would love the opportunity to ask Matt Dawson exactly what happened in 1998…”
Matt Vick- Finalist for ‘The Apprentice of the Year Award 2021’
The winner of ‘The Apprentice of the Year Award’ will be announced on the 20th of January 2022. The ceremony will be hosted by Matt Dawson, MBE England and British Lions scrum-half and TV Personality.
We are all very excited to find out the results and cannot wait to hear about Matt Vick’s experiences. Good Logistics wants to wish Matt the best of luck; we are keeping our fingers crossed!
