Felixstowe Warehouse Achieves “AA” standard in BRC Global Standards Audit

Having undergone the two-day audit process required to receive the BRC Global Standards accreditation, we’re proud to announce that our Felixstowe warehouse has been rated the highest possible score of “AA”, thanks to the hard work of the warehouse team.

The BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution measures the quality and safety of products during their storage and distribution throughout the supply chain. Our 207,000 square foot warehousing facility at Felixstowe has held the BRC accreditation for ten years, and this year’s coveted AA score reflects the high standards that are consistently maintained by a dedicated team.

180 clauses of the standard were examined during the 2 day audit, and the auditor was particularly impressed with the building location, perimeter and grounds, giving a high score for the protection of the safety, legality and quality of products.

Used by over 26,000 certified suppliers over 130 countries, leading retailers, manufacturers and food service organisations will often include the BRC Global Standard as a requirement as part of their supplier approval process.

“Fantastic achievement to be awarded AA standard by the BRCGS, a reflection of all the hard work from the team at our Felixstowe facility in maintaining such high standards.

The accreditation also supports the wider business strategy in terms of bringing our subsidiaries together under the John Good Logistics banner and offering an integrated end to end service our clients can trust and rely on.

For our warehousing activities, BRCGS accreditation is the mark our customers are looking for and instantly gives confidence their products will be handled with care & efficiency, meaning they can focus on other areas of their business knowing the logistics operation is in very safe and capable hands.”
