Celebrating Our Colleague’s Success!

We would like to Congratulate all our Good Logistics’ colleagues who have recently celebrated outstanding achievements, we are all very proud of all you..

Congratulations Bianca!

Many congratulations to our US colleague, Bianca Marosi, Executive General Manager in our New Jersey office, who is celebrating the completion of a 2 year Master’s Degree with her fellow members of the Kean University graduation class of 2023.

Managing her full-time role at Good Logistics with that of dedicating her time away from the office to achieve a Master of Arts in Education Administration: Business Administration, she continues to prove what a star she is and how lucky we are to have her on the team.

We asked Bianca about her learning journey and this is what she had to say,

“After 2 years of long nights and hard work,  I’m excited to announce that I completed my graduate degree.  This is not the end of my learning, instead, it signifies the beginning.”

Bianca was kind enough to share some of her precious family moments captured on camera at her graduation ceremony held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark NJ.

Congratulations Ollie!

Many congratulations to Ollie Charles, Head of Transport, Felixstowe on his recent exam success and achieving the Transport Managers CPC qualification. This certification is part of the Good Logistics strategy to demonstrate we possess the in-depth skills and knowledge to be specialists in our area.

This qualification is offered on behalf of the Department of Transport and in relation to the current EU Directive. The Transport Manager CPC Certificate of Professional Competence for Road Transport Managers is examined by CILT (The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) and is a legal requirement.

It is an eight-day intensive programme with an grueling 4.5 hours exam at the end.  An example of some of the Modules covered includes Transport Security, Digital Tachographs, Customs Care, Driver Compliance, and Drivers Hours Regulations.

Feedback from the Course Tutor,

“Passing the TM CPD qualification is extremely difficult and takes lots of hard work and dedication. Congratulations to Ollie he worked so hard to pass.”

Ollie was very excited to pass.  We asked him for his thoughts,

“Finally completed my Transport CPC course, one of my greatest achievements. Thank you for the opportunity. Now onto the next challenge ….”

Congratulations Jane and Celia!

Many congratulations to Jane Nash, Quality and Procedures Manager, and Celia Petersen, Quality and Process Administrator on their recent exam success and becoming an AEO Certified Practitioner.

The course is accredited by the  Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. It covers both Customs Simplifications and Safety and Security, it took Jane and Celia on a learning journey to become fully proficient and qualified to maintain our AEO HMRC accreditation.

It is updated to reflect the customs legislation of the UK following the exit from the EU, along with an introduction to the Trusted Trader Scheme.

It is a very intensive four-day programme. Two days of learning about the Customs Simplifications and two days of learning about Safety and Security. There are two examinations on each topic, both of which must be passed to receive full accreditation.

From completing the course they have gained a greater understanding of the Three Pillars of Customs Compliance and how these impact our business; this provides them with the knowledge to ensure we maintain our AEO authorisation.

It guided them through practical sessions within each area to enable Jane and Celia to better understand what AEO does for Good Logistics and how to maintain our AEO authorisation by implementing maintenance programs to self-audit within this high level of customs compliance.
